About the Café The River Street Café is independently operated in the Thunder Bay 55 Plus Centre. The Café is a not-for-profit food service and is a City of Thunder Bay Volunteer Program for seniors. All income is used to pay wages, food, equipment, dishwashing, and Café supplies. In agreement with the City of Thunder Bay, the 55 Plus Food Program Board of Directors contributes a yearly amount towards the Centre’s operating budget to help offset the operation of the Thunder Bay 55 Plus Centre.
